The Monadnock camera Club will meet on Thursday, October 16, starting at 7:00 pm at the Jaffrey Civic Center on Main Street in Jaffrey.
Visitors are invited to attend the club meeting and are encouraged to share their images.
There will be a short training session on how to use the histogram function on a digital camera in evaluating image captures, followed by a presentation on Fish Eye Photography.
We will be meeting this coming Thursday (the 20th) at the usual time and place (i.e. 7 PM at the Jaffery Civic Center).
There are two items on the agenda for this month...
A live demonstration of cyanotype printing.
Frank Gorga will coat paper with cyanotype chemistry, expose the paper using a digitally-made 8"x10" negative and a UV light source and, finally, develop the final image. All right before your very eyes!!!!
Book sharing
Do you have a favorite photography book... or two... or three?! It could be a "how to" book or a book of photographs that inspire you. If so, bring them along to this meeting and tell folks about them... both the strong points and the weak points.
Jot the author and title down on a piece of paper, we'll collect those and publish a list of them here on the club website.
As always, if you want to show some prints bring them along. If you want to show digital images, please let Frank know a couple of days ahead of time so that we can have the equipment present and set up.
The November meeting is just over a week away! On the agenda: Equipment Night... "show and tell". Bring a photographic tool or toy (or two or three) that you find useful to share with the group. Maybe you will find something to ask Santa for... assuming that you have been good this year!!! Image Study... this is your opportunity to get feed back on your photographs. Send files to Frank by Tuesday, 19 Nov or bring prints to the meeting. (Three photos per person, maximum.) We will display the photos and discuss them at the meeting. Snapseed... Chuck Bruce will give us an overview of this program for "post-processing" digital photos. See you all on the 21st!
