February Meeting Reminder

The Monadnock camera club will meet at the Jaffrey Civic center on February 18th at 7:00 PM. We will be selecting digital images, black and white prints and color prints for the NECCC competitions. This is restricted to members. Digital images should be sent to Lynn at monadnockcc@gmail.com by February 16th. They should be sized 1024x768 horizontally or 768x smaller than 768 vertically. You may send up to four in the nature category and up to four in the pictorial category. Nature can not have anything man made and the story is more important than image quality, although image quality is important,too. WE WILL SELECT FOUR BY FOUR DIFFERENT MAKERS for each category.

Black and white prints should be matted front and back. The mat should be no smaller than 8x10 or larger than 16 x20. Your name and the title should be printed on the back. They may be of any subject.

Color prints should also be matted front and back, with your name and title printed on the back. Again they can be of any subject. There is not a separate category for nature. Size restrictions are also the same as black and white.

Members are also asked to bring in a series of images that tell a story. These may be brought in on a flash drive or CD. This seems to work well for everyone.

Bruce will also be showing a series of photos with the them of "old".

Refreshments will be served.

January Meeting Reminder

The Monadnock Camera Club will meet on Thursday, January 21st at 7:00 PM in the Jaffrey Civic Center. We are working on a main subject for the night as our planned guest had another commitment.
Members may bring images of ordinary objects to share with the club. Refreshments will be served by Linda.

December Meeting Reminder

The Monadnock Camera Club will meet in the Jaffrey Civic Center at 7 PM on December 17th. We will be viewing black and white prints which were entered into a circuit with six other New England Clubs. The prints have been judged by a New England Camera Club Judge (Shiv Verma)and his comments recorded for our listening pleasure. This is a photographic learning experience. Certificates of merit have been awarded to some of the circuit participants.

We will also be choosing digital images for our winter competition. These images will be judged by NECCC judges along with images sent by other clubs. Our club will choose four nature and four general images for this competition. Nature images should exclude anything man made including domestic flowers and animals. Images should be sized 1024x768 pixels horizontally and 768xless than 768 pixels vertically. You may send your images to us via e-mail at monadnockcc@gmail.com. Please send them by Dec. 15 so I have time to make a list for voting. You have more of a chance of being chosen if you just send one, but you may send up to three.

We will also choose four black and white prints by four different makers for the winter competition. These should be matted with mats no smaller than 8x10 and no bigger than 16x20. It will be quicker if you just bring one and save any other you have for the next contest in the spring.

Color prints will also be chosen. Again we will choose four and they need to be matted with mats no smaller than 8x10 nor bigger than 16x20. Four different makers is required.

The assignment for this month is "old". If you have some pictures of some old thing, you may bring them to show at the meeting.

November Meeting Reminder

The Monadnock Camera Club will meet on Thursday, November 19th at 7:00PM in the Jaffrey Civic Center. Linda Greenwood will give a short lesson on matting and framing prints. We also will view members' images of this month's assignment on rocks. Refreshments will be provided by Keith.

We will also be selecting prints and digital images. Members should have their dues paid by then if they wish to participate. New members and guests are welcome as well.

September Meeting Reminder

Our 2015-2016 season will kick off later this week at the Jaffrey Civic Center on Thursday September 17 at 7pm. We will be choosing both digital images and prints for competitions. We will also go over our competitions and circuits work. People attending are encouraged to bring 2 or 3 images that they would like critiqued by other members of the club.

June Meeting Reminder

The Monadnock Camera Club will meet on Thursday, June 18th at Lynn's house in Greenfield. We will start around 6PM. Please bring a salad, main dish or dessert for a potluck dinner. Lynn will provide appetizers and drinks. Our assignment for this month is "action". Please bring any action shots you wish to show on a CD or USB. We also will be selecting digital images for next years circuits and prints for the circuits. The "circuits" are the shows that go around to each club during the year. We will be selecting six nature digital shots and six pictorial shots. We will be selecting three black and white prints and three color prints. The prints should be matted 11x14 to 16x20. We would like as many different makers as possible. These images will be seriously critiqued by experienced judges and you will hear their comments at four of our meetings. May Meeting Reminder

The Monadnock Camera Club will meet on Thursday, May 21, 7:00 PM at the Jaffrey Civic Center. We will be viewing the pictorial digital circuit. Members are asked to bring images of plants taken this month and/or three images for critique. Refreshments will be served. Meetings are open to anyone interested in photography.
