Field Trip!

FIELD TRIP - October 1st, The Fells, Newbury, New Hampshire. Meet at the Jaffrey Civic Center at 8:30 a.m., carpooling is encouraged. There is an admission fee of $10, $8 for seniors. Hope to see you there and feel free to invite friends, guests are always welcome. The Fells Website

June Meeting Reminder

The Monadnock Camera Club will meet at the home of Chuck Bruce on Thursday, June 16 for a potluck dinner.

Members are asked to bring digital images, black and white prints and color prints for selection into next years circuits. Six digital images by six different makers for nature and pictorial will be selected. Three or four black and white prints will be selected and four color prints will be selected, all by different makers.

Honorable Mention ribbons will be awarded to members after being awarded them during our most recent competition.

We will be doing an upcoming show in Peterborough featuring macro photos from within Peterborough itself. Members may visit Peterborough on their own to shoot macro images for show. Chuck Mathis has volunteered to print any images that can not be done by members. More information about dates and size of images will be given soon.

April Meeting Reminder

The Monadnock Camera Club will meet at 7 PM on April 21st at the Jaffrey Civic Center. Lynn will be returning competition prints.

We will be viewing the color print circuit this month, which will be critiqued by a NECCC judge.

The assignment this month is "wood".

March Meeting Reminder

The Monadnock Camera Club will meet on Thursday, March 17th at 7:00PM in the Jaffrey Civic Center (40 Main Street next to the library).

Owen and Lynne Richards will be doing a special program on photographing car racing.

Members who wish to may show there assignment images titled: "geometry".

Refreshments will be provided.

February Meeting Reminder

The Monadnock camera club will meet at the Jaffrey Civic center on February 18th at 7:00 PM. We will be selecting digital images, black and white prints and color prints for the NECCC competitions. This is restricted to members. Digital images should be sent to Lynn at monadnockcc@gmail.com by February 16th. They should be sized 1024x768 horizontally or 768x smaller than 768 vertically. You may send up to four in the nature category and up to four in the pictorial category. Nature can not have anything man made and the story is more important than image quality, although image quality is important,too. WE WILL SELECT FOUR BY FOUR DIFFERENT MAKERS for each category.

Black and white prints should be matted front and back. The mat should be no smaller than 8x10 or larger than 16 x20. Your name and the title should be printed on the back. They may be of any subject.

Color prints should also be matted front and back, with your name and title printed on the back. Again they can be of any subject. There is not a separate category for nature. Size restrictions are also the same as black and white.

Members are also asked to bring in a series of images that tell a story. These may be brought in on a flash drive or CD. This seems to work well for everyone.

Bruce will also be showing a series of photos with the them of "old".
