September Meeting Reminder

Our 2015-2016 season will kick off later this week at the Jaffrey Civic Center on Thursday September 17 at 7pm. We will be choosing both digital images and prints for competitions. We will also go over our competitions and circuits work. People attending are encouraged to bring 2 or 3 images that they would like critiqued by other members of the club.

June Meeting Reminder

The Monadnock Camera Club will meet on Thursday, June 18th at Lynn's house in Greenfield. We will start around 6PM. Please bring a salad, main dish or dessert for a potluck dinner. Lynn will provide appetizers and drinks. Our assignment for this month is "action". Please bring any action shots you wish to show on a CD or USB. We also will be selecting digital images for next years circuits and prints for the circuits. The "circuits" are the shows that go around to each club during the year. We will be selecting six nature digital shots and six pictorial shots. We will be selecting three black and white prints and three color prints. The prints should be matted 11x14 to 16x20. We would like as many different makers as possible. These images will be seriously critiqued by experienced judges and you will hear their comments at four of our meetings. You may send me your digital images at monadnockcc@gmail.com Please resize them at 1024x768. Hope to see you in June. You may send images even if you do not attend the meeting.

May Meeting Reminder

The Monadnock Camera Club will meet on Thursday, May 21, 7:00 PM at the Jaffrey Civic Center. We will be viewing the pictorial digital circuit. Members are asked to bring images of plants taken this month and/or three images for critique. Refreshments will be served. Meetings are open to anyone interested in photography.

April Meeting Reminder

The Monadnock Camera Club will meet at 7 PM at the Jaffrey Civic Center on April 16th. We will be viewing the Nature Digital Circuit. This circuit is quite detailed and should be very enlightening. The assignment for this month is "animals". I have taken the liberty of putting many of the club members shots of animals into one folder, which I thought we could run while we are having refreshments. We can also view any new shots that have been taken. Sonjia will be providing refreshments.

February Meeting Reminder

The Monadnock Camera Club will meet at the Jaffrey Civic Center on WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 18 at 7:00 PM. We will be choosing black and white prints, color prints and digital images for the spring competitions. This is the last competition for the year. Please send any digital images you wish to enter in the competition to Lynn by Monday, February 16 so that she have time to make a list of entries and get them into a folder.

**Note that this months meeting is on a Wednesday instead of our normal Thursday

January Meeting Reminder

The Monadnock Camera club will meet at the Jaffrey Civic Center on Thursday, January 15th at 7:00 PM.

Member Chuck Bruce will present a short digital camera tip on taking sports photography. Professional photographer Steve Hooper will do a presentation on taking cell phone photography. Please, spread the word to friends and family. Meetings are free.

Our member assignment this month is "abstracts." However, it was announced at our last meeting that it was "winter". Members may bring any abstract or winter shots that they would like to share.

November Meeting Reminder

The Monadnock camera Club will meet on Thursday, November 20, starting at 7:00 pm at the Jaffrey Civic Center on Main Street in Jaffrey.

Visitors are invited to attend the club meeting and are encouraged to share their images.
There will be a short training session on a discussion of ISO (the sensor's sensitivity to light) and how it relates to digital photography.

Members will also share up to 25 images each that "tell a story". The "story" could be a theme, about a trip, the growth of a plant, animal, child, a sports event, etc.

November's Monthly Challenge photographs of "Architecture" will also be shared.

Refreshments will be served.
